Simple Crock Pot Chicken & Rice

Here is another idea I pinned :

We tried it and it was pretty good! Super Easy too : )

A new recipe

I pinned this and made it. It tasted just like a regular baked potato, but more work lol

A Little Humor for a Monday

Okay this is super childish, but I though it was super funny.... I pinned this-

and then.... I did these (not perfect, but I you get it) ... in all of the stalls in my work bathroom! It was SO funny to hear the buzz around the office. PLUS someone actually took a picture of it of one of them and posted it on FB. So much for a boring Monday huh!?

J

I pinned this-

And we were out playing the other day and I remember it and took this-
I like it but I want to do brighter chalk colors and a higher camera angle next time.

Inspired by...

This is not exactly a replica of a pinned item, but I pinned this

and it inspired me to take this picture-

I think you could do a lot of fun pictures with Shadows!

Crayon Art

I guess I am on a crayon kick right now, but with the back to school sales Wal-mart has the 24 packs for only 40 cents!! So tonight I tackled this craft  with my nephews.
It was super hot out to do a project involving a hot glue gun and a hair dryer, but we toughed it out. The boys didn't enjoy the prep work of unwrapping all those crayons, but they loved melting them! Now that I look at the picture I pinned I noticed they left the wrappers ON! That would have helped with the gluing.

At any rate it was a fun project and kept the boys busy for a couple hours.

Total cost was about $13 because the canvas are on sale 50% off this week at Micheal's.

Birthday Balloons!

Here is a  fun idea I pinned the other day! I like to acknowledge birthdays (when I can) either on FB, a card in the mail or a card with a few scratcher tickets of a candy bar on a person's desk.
When I saw this idea I knew I had to do it.

I made my balloons with my cricket cutter and the entire project only took about 20 minutes!

When I make this again I will make larger balloons (I had it set on 2 1/2 inches) and I will stagger where I glue each one to the pixy stix so the bunch is more full.

The project only cost a whopping 50 cents, because I only used 1/2 the bag of pixy stix, strap paper and of course the can was free.

Bird Feeder

This is my first pinterest I made real! I pinned this idea!

I am always looking for crafty type ideas I can do with my nephews and after recently painting birdhouses I just new they would love these!

The project only cost about $2.50 and I have enough supplies to make at least 3 more batches.

The entire project only took 15 mins (plus drying time)

The project didn't hold my 6 year old nephew's interest (not much does), but the 4 year old loved it!
